Overview of DouChain, the Unchained L1 for the next billion users.

DouChain: The Unchained L1

DouChain is a last-mover Layer 1 blockchain designed for the next billion users, powered by a state-based "Dragon Burn" monetary policy.

The network launches at a Genesis Supply of 5.21 billion $DOU and programmatically burns a portion of all fees until it reaches the Pi Cap of 3.14 billion $DOU. Once the Pi Cap is reached, burning halts forever and the protocol enters its Maturity State: a fixed-supply, non-inflationary, non-deflationary equilibrium.

Forged in rebellion against extractive platforms and fragmented L2 stacks, DouChain combines:

  • Dynamic sharding for near-infinite horizontal scalability
  • A multi-workchain architecture for social, AI, gaming, and markets
  • Dou-BFT, a fast-finality BFT consensus protocol
  • DOU-ID, a hybrid ZK/MPC identity layer for sybil resistance and compliant on-ramps
  • An Elastic Fee Router that burns a portion of fees and routes the rest to validators, builders, and users

DouChain is the coordination layer for a user-owned digital society.

What is DouChain? {#what-is-douchain}

DouChain is a high-performance L1 network that supports both SVM-compatible and EVM-compatible execution.
It is built to host:

  • real-time social networks and messaging
  • AI-native applications with persistent state
  • on-chain games and prediction markets
  • regulated capital markets that require strong identity and compliance hooks

Rather than scattering liquidity and users across dozens of L2s, DouChain keeps one unified surface area and scales via dynamic sharding + specialized workchains.

Key Features and Benefits {#key-features-and-benefits}

Compatibility with existing ecosystems

Developers can port existing Solana- or Ethereum-based projects to DouChain with minimal changes, reusing familiar tooling while benefiting from:

  • higher throughput
  • low, predictable fees
  • fast finality via Dou-BFT

Final-mover performance

DouChain is designed from the ground up for:

  • sub-second finality in typical conditions
  • dynamic shard split/merge per workchain
  • optimized networking tuned for real-time apps

Dragon Burn & User-Aligned Economics

DouChain's v0.5 Elastic Fee Router implements the Dragon Burn:

  • State-Based Deflation: Burns a dynamic 1.5–5.30% of all protocol fees while supply is above 3.14B $DOU.
  • Maturity Transition: When circulating supply reaches the Pi Cap (3.14B), the burn parameter is set to 0% and 100% of fees are redirected to validators, delegators, and the Peasant's Rebate.
  • No Perpetual Inflation: DouChain never mints new $DOU for security or incentives; instead, it reallocates fee flows as the network matures.

Chains & Workchains {#chains}

DouChain will be composed of:

  • Masterchain – coordinates validators, governance, and global state commitments
  • Social Workchain – feeds, messages, identity-aware apps
  • AI Workchain – inference markets, agents, and data rails
  • Gaming & Markets Workchain – games, prediction markets, order books
  • EVM Workchain – EVM-compatible execution for direct Solidity/Foundry developers

All workchains inherit security from the same validator set and Dou-BFT consensus.

Use Cases {#use-cases}

  • Decentralized Finance (DeFi) – high-throughput trading, on-chain derivatives, real-time auctions
  • Social & Creator Economies – feeds, tipping, rewards, and reputation systems that are actually on-chain
  • AI x Blockchain – agent coordination, data attestations, and incentive rails for AI systems
  • Gaming & NFTs – low-latency game loops, asset ownership, and cross-game liquidity
  • Data & Storage – integration with specialized storage layers for logs, media, and model artifacts
